Opera in three acts by ADOLPHE ADAM. Chapelou has just married Madeleine at Lonjumeau. The director of the Paris Opera happens to be passing through, hears Chapelou singing, and offers him a job.
Chapelou leaves for Paris immediately, leaving his wife to plan her revenge.
