Gerald Moore. Hilary Finch looks back on the career of the pioneering pianist and accompanist Gerald Moore through some of his many broadcasts for the BBC.
Moore really championed the musical status of the accompanist in the public eye and was a much sought-after partner for some of the greatest singers of his day, such as John McCormack , Elizabeth Soderstrom and Richard Lewis.
