The reigning World and Olympic champion, Michael Johnson , won't defend the title he won in Gothenburg, preferring to concentrate on the 400m, but Jamaica's Merlene Otteywill defend herwomen's 200m crown.

4.45 the men's triple-jump final, at 5.05 the women's 200m final, at 5.20 the men's 200m final, at 5.40 the men's 800m final and at 6.00 the women's
