Bad Boys
A 1973 documentary in the Man Alive series portrayed the lives of six teenage male offenders andtheirtime in Peper Harow, a community in Surrey that promoted a policyoftreatment rather than punishment. This film shows the youngsters as they were then and, over two decades later, updates their stories. Have the men managed to break the cycle of violence that was such a part of their lives?

In celebration of the bi-centenary of the day of Franz Schubert 's birth, there's a repeat showing of a recording of the Austrian composer's song-cycle Die Winterreise. Originally broadcast in 1970, it was sung by the tenor Peter Pears with a piano accompaniment from the composer Benjamin Britten.
