Live coverage from Leeds Town Hall of the first part of the finals as this world famous music competition reaches its climax. Tonight and tomorrow, the remaining six contestants each play a complete concerto with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Simon Rattle. Since the first round of the competition, two weeks ago, members ofthejury, chaired by Fanny Waterman, have listened and adjudicated at every stage. Their final verdict will be given tomorrow night, when viewers will be invited to choose their favourite from the concerto performances. Introduced by Howard Goodall , with expert comment from pianist lain Burnside.

Presenter Johnny Vaughan dispatches his undercover agent Danny Brown - aka the Fall Guy - to infiltrate the lives of practical jokers everywhere.
