Taking it one step further are five families who have been given a video camera to record their newborn's progress over the first 12 months of its life.
The results will be broadcast every month for the rest of the year, providing an insight into children's growth.

Continuing the Picasso season, this is the first of three films made by art historian John Richardson , author of A Life of Picasso.
Tonight Richardson discusses the story behind the revolutionary 1907 paintingLes Desmoiselles d'Avignon. The poet Apollinaire had introduced Picasso to a thief who sold him some Iberian sculptures stolen from the Louvre - which were both to inspire him and plunge him into scandal.
Richardson also considers
Picasso's search for inspiration in a variety of art forms, from sacred icons to the tribal artworks of Africa.
