Light in the Dark
During the Nazi occupation of eastern Poland, a small group of Jews in the city of Lvov tried to save themselves from the death camps by hiding in the sewers beneath the city. Having escaped the final liquidation of the ghetto, they established a small underground community with the help of some Catholic sewer workers. They imagined they would have to hold out for about six weeks.
In the event, they survived for more than 14 months. Today, there are just four survivors who can bear witness to these events
During the summer ot 1988, Timewatch brought them together to record their accounts. In August the oldest member of the group Mundek Margulies journeyed back to Lvov now part of the Soviet Union.
With the co-operation of the local authorities, Margulies went down into the sewers and through the maze of tunnels, to help describe one of the most extraordinary episodes of human courage and endurance from the Jewish Holocaust.

Starring Dennis O'Keefe, Jean Brooks.

Another gem of suggestive terror from producer Val Lewton and director Jacques Tourneur.

Fear stalks the dark streets of a small New Mexico town after a black leopard, part of a publicity stunt by a nightclub entertainer, is accidentally let loose. A young girl out buying groceries is killed, but is she a victim of the leopard or of a human killer who has made the night streets his hunting ground?
