The Leopard Man

on BBC Two England

Starring Dennis O'Keefe, Jean Brooks.

Another gem of suggestive terror from producer Val Lewton and director Jacques Tourneur.

Fear stalks the dark streets of a small New Mexico town after a black leopard, part of a publicity stunt by a nightclub entertainer, is accidentally let loose. A young girl out buying groceries is killed, but is she a victim of the leopard or of a human killer who has made the night streets his hunting ground?
