In October 1588 a lone Spanish ship was wrecked off Bolt Tail in south Devon. The St Peter the Great was one of the hospital ships in King Philip's mighty Armada. One of those taken prisoner was a Portuguese boy called George. Children from three Devon schools use their own maps, models and pictures to tell the story.

For over half a century
Robin and Heather Tanner have been striving to record a vanishing vision of countryside - the greystone villages, green meadows and flower-filled woodlands of north Wiltshire.
They have lovingly portrayed this landscape in a lifetime of etching, drawing and writing. It is a landscape which, the Tanners believe, need not be lost if people really care as much to preserve it as the Tanners have to record it - this vision of Wiltshire.

The 1986 Lombard-RAC was the last truly competitive event when all the top teams came together with their so-called 'super-cars'.
Regulation changes for 1987 meant that Group B cars like the four-wheel-drive Peugeot 205 and the Lancia Deltas - which had dominated the rallying for so many years - would not be seen again in this form of competition.
For four days last November, 150 top drivers battled their way over 1500 miles of some of the worst terrain and through some of the worst weather Britain could offer to try to decide the World Rally Championship for 1986.
