11.50 Instrumentation: Flow
Place your finger in a draught and it feels cold. A precise measurement of the cooling effect on a hot wire is the basis of a flow meter. Alternatively, place your finger in a stream, and you will often see tiny whirls downstream; the number of whirls gives a measure of the flow rate.

Have a smashing time! Models are tested to destruction, to demonstrate modes of failure.
