They call them 'twitchers'; birdwatchers who dash from place to place ticking off rare species in the manner of someone collecting out of town car number plates. The eponymous Jim Vardaman is champion birdwatcher of the whole world, but could he beat the British record of 252 species spotted in 24 hours?
Using nothing but his natural talent, a private jet, two helicopters, four assistants, a £1,000 telescope and a man called Big Jake, Vardaman sets out to show the limeys a thing or two.
