Claudia McNeil , Janet McLachlan and Robert Christian with Lark Ruffin
1: Mississippi, 1933. Bound together by their family love, the Logans face the hardships of being both black and poor at the height of the Depression. The daughter, Cassie, tells the story of a family, who learned to 'hold on to what we had -and what we had was the land'.
Based on the novel by MILDRED D. TAYLOR the films depict the Logans' struggle for their property and their resistance against the intimidating Wallace, the town's bigoted store-owner.

Painting on the back of glass means doing everything back to front, starting with the foreground and all the detail which would normally be put on last. Several layers of glass can give an intriguing three-dimensional effect.

This Academy Award-winning documentary film highlights the growing problem of the thousands of young people reported missing every year.
When 19-year-old Eric Wilson went missing on a trip between Ottawa and Boulder. Colorado, his family naturally turned to the police for help. But the Canadian and American police forces were not interested: to them Eric was just another missing kid. 'Come back in 30 days,' they said. Baffled and frustrated by the indifference of the authorities, the Wilsons hired a private investigator. Through him they finally discovered the tragic truth.
