Based on the novel by MILDRED D. TAYLOR the films depict the Logans' struggle for their property and their resistance against the intimidating Wallace, the town's bigoted store-owner.

When 19-year-old Eric Wilson went missing on a trip between Ottawa and Boulder. Colorado, his family naturally turned to the police for help. But the Canadian and American police forces were not interested: to them Eric was just another missing kid. 'Come back in 30 days,' they said. Baffled and frustrated by the indifference of the authorities, the Wilsons hired a private investigator. Through him they finally discovered the tragic truth.
