Chatsworth, Derbyshire with Simon Bull
This week Arthur Negus visits one of England's greatest houses, the home of the Dukes of Devonshire.
The magnificent state rooms are but a few of the 173 in the house. Arthur is joined by Simon Bull to admire and enjoy some of the 62 clocks, and there's a rare chance to view the Cavendish chatelaine watch, encrusted with diamonds.

King Kong still rules our imagination, but watching our closest relatives in the wild reveals a gentler giant. Gorillas are the shyest and, sadly, the rarest of the great apes.
America's Dian Fossey and John Aspinall here in Britain are, like many others, endeavouring to dispel the apathy and ignorance that shrouds these intelligent and magnificent animals.

Bernard Levin in conversation with Dame Elisabeth Frink Britain's foremost sculptress Dame Elisabeth Frink's themes - predatory birds and bird-men, wild boars, horses, standing figures - have become part of the language of the art of our world. Perhaps the most remarkable are her disembodied heads - 'Goggle Men', brutal figures of despotism; and their victims, 'In Memoriam' sculptures of noble sufferers. For her, 'art has always been a civilising factor.... I think a lot of governments have lost sight of humanity now'.

Paul, a fire patrol pilot over the beautiful pine forests of New Zealand, is trying to bring up his teenage son despite the pressures of a busy job and being a 'solo' parent. Young Billy is also a solitary person, immersed in his own maturing world. Into their lives comes Judy, an attractive young girl hitch-hiking her way from a disastrous early marriage.
This film, shot amid some of New Zealand's most spectacular scenery, is an unusual love story about three people coming to terms with themselves and each other.
