The last in a series of seven programmes made by young people. Tonight's programme started life in Soho. Bolt the bunker doors at Number 10! Yes, another attack on the values of bourgeois Britain is mounted from the heart of the capital. Three different critical viewpoints are offered: the youth who live rough on the streets of the West End; the Chinese second generation whose experience spans two cultures; and a London-Irish girl who knows that we're all being conned. There's also a film about Leila McCallum who explains the virtues of Super-8 film making and music from Orange Juice and Depeche Mode.

Lindisfarne
Off the Northumbrian coast lies an island with a history as colourful as any corner of Britain. Here the first Vikings found a refuge from the North Sea storms and a staging post for the mainland.
Following the same route, every year countless flocks of wildfowl have invaded ancient Lindisfarne in search of food and shelter on their way south.
As winter approaches Angela Rippon is joined there by ornithologist Roger Lovegrove who, with David O'Connor , warden of the island's nature reserve, keeps watch on the birds and seals, and by Bernard Price , who looks at the island's special pattern of life which for centuries has been governed by the tides.

A Lost Generation?
Of the three million unemployed in Britain today, more than one million are aged under 24, many of them school-leavers. Fears are growing (especially since the summer riots) that they may become a lost generation, many never finding satisfactory work. Can anything be done by government and unions to keep more young people out of the dole queues? Are training and job creation schemes worthwhile, or must the fate of a generation wait upon economic recovery? Steve Bradshaw reports.
