The story of the Allied Attack on Russia 1918-22.
In late 1919 nine-tenths of the Soviet Union had been occupied by the Americans, the British, the anti-Bolshevik White Russians and their Allies. Lenin and Trotsky resisted from the beleagured tenth around Moscow. More than 13 million Russians died from starvation, disease, and armed attack during the Allied intervention in Russia and the civil war it propped up.
The Forgotten War is the story of this extraordinary episode, how the Allies came to withdraw from Russia, and what bitter memories this war was to leave.
Among those taking part:
Frances, Lady Lloyd George, General Sir Brian Horrocks, Professor George Kennan, Sir Oswald Mosley
Commentary by Robert MacNeil

A BBC/NET joint production
