Cousteau and the Calypso crew accept a dangerous mission. They investigate the wrecks of 30 Japanese ships destroyed by an American bombing mission in Truk Lagoon over 25 years ago.
The wrecks lie more than 250 feet below the sea, and at this depth divers are in danger of nitrogen narcosis - 'rapture of the deep.'
