It is appropriate in this centenary season, a season which recognises the spread of Rugby throughout the world, that the tourists should be men from the exotic South Sea islands which make up the Independence of Fiji. Rugby is Fiji's main sport with some 10,000 regular players at all grades of the game, but although relatively new to our International scene, the Fijians have already gained the reputation of being one of the most thrilling and exuberant teams in the world.

Tonight's edition in James Cameron's own series of documentary films

To make tonight's programme James Cameron went back again to Cyprus, as he has been doing for 15 years, for one more look at the 'Island of Love.' Today it is a place where 4,000 soldiers of five armies of the United Nations keep an uneasy peace that has lasted six sad years.
He recalls old memories and encounters fresh problems: none more intractable than the deadlock between Greek and Turk - the friendly foes who can neither live with each other nor without each other. In an unusually frank interview President Makarios talks of his doubts and hopes, of the Commonwealth, of his changing views on union with Greece.
But Cyprus is loveliness as well as politics, love as well as guns, tranquillity as well as tension. With its strange mixture of Greek and British cultures and loyalties, Cyprus is in a very special way Cameron Country.
