Gordon Wilkins covers the Brussels Motor Show
The first international motor show of 1969 opened this week in Brussels, where buyers can pick and choose among all the cars of the world. Which model serves the Belgian motorist best? Is independent suspension on all four wheels a 'must' for Belgium's hundreds of kilometres of cobbled roads? Do the Belgians deserve their reputation as the worst drivers in Europe?
Michael Frostick looks for some answers with motoring correspondent and former racing driver Paul Frere and Albert Leroy of Brussels University, author of a recent survey on the car-buying habits of the Belgian people.
