The Racing Car Show opened at Olympia in London on Wednesday, and 150,000 people are expected to see the Show before it shuts next week. Why do so many motorists seek extras to improve the performance or comfort of their family car? To make a mass-produced saloon look individual? Or is the standard equipment offered by manufacturers too basic for the average buyer?
Wheelbase looks for some answers at the only motor show in Britain where visitors can buy what they see on the stands.
