This week including:
Yellow Submarine
'Yellow Submarine' is the animation feature film built round the Beatles and some of their songs. It is the most ambitious cartoon film ever made in England.
George Dunning, the director, explains the variety of techniques and styles inspired by the songs, and Heinz Edelmann, the designer, talks to George Melly about the problems of creating animated counterparts for living legends.
Matisse
The new Hayward Gallery, part of the London South Bank Arts Centre, is to be opened by the Queen on July 9. A major retrospective exhibition will be on show of the work of Henri Matisse (1869-1954).
