Startling new evidence that bull-fighting may have originated in Turkey 8,000 years ago has recently been revealed at Catal Huyuk - the earliest known civilised town. A vivid red painting of a bull being baited is just one of the most astounding finds which show that this Stone Age people were not only intensely religious but had a very sophisticated way of life.
