This week Donald Macleod is joined by pianist Peter Hill (who studied with Messiaen himself) and musicologist Nigel Simeone , who are currently collaborating on a new documentary biography of the enigmatic French composer, one of the few major composers of the last century for whom the Catholic church remained central to their life and work.
