Bruckner's glorious choral music is performed in the Royal Albert Hall , where the composer played the organ in 1871. Then Sir Georg Solti returns to the Proms for Beethoven's last symphony and its revolutionary choral finale. Solti declares the ninth to be "a masterpiece with an enormous, broadening horizon, where the history of music turned a page".
