When the young prophet from Galilee arrived at the temple in Jerusalem it covered 35 acres and there were still 30 to 40 years work needed to finish it. There were some who felt that all Israel's woes began with the attempt to trap God's presence in this holy place. The Galilean dismounted from his borrowed donkey, dusted his feet and walked purposefully into the Court of Nations.

Wild Otter
Introduced by David Attenborough
In the far north of Britain, on the stormwashed islands of Shetland, lives a rare and beautiful animal, which most of us will never see-the otter.
But here is a unique opportunity to watch, through the eye of the camera, the day to day activities of a family ot totally wild otters. We see a courting pair at play, the mother encouraging her cubs to make their first venture into the water, and finally the well-grown young otters learning to hunt and fend for themselves.

Lecture
The Rt Rev David Sheppard , Bishop of Liverpool, gives the 12th in this series of annual lectures before an invited audience at the Royal Society of Arts in London. The Other Britain
DAVID SHEPPARD describes 'the other Britain' as those city areas where poverty and unemployment are realities. He knows them well as he has spent over 30 years working there, first as a clergyman then as bishop.
Tonight he asks everyone in 'comfortable' Britain - as he calls it - to stand in the shoes of the people in that other Britain. He explains why attitudes must change, why politicians must alter their policies and why the Christian Church must become involved. He finds in Liverpool and elsewhere a dangerous alienation between governors and governed.
He concludes by making his own practical proposals for removing the poverty which 'imprisons the spirit' and divides the nation. Introduced by Stuart Young , Chairman of the BBC

'Your train has been taken'. These ominous words echo into the security section of the New York subway. The most unlikely of hijackings has taken place with a gang of armed and desperate men in command of a train compartment and 17 passengers. Their demand is a ransom of one million dollars-to be delivered within an hour. For every minute's delay one of the passengers will die. This ingenious and gripping movie has a strong documentary element, contributing to the forceful and violent portrait of New York life - above and below the ground.
