In the final film of the present season Professor Quatermass, hero of the popular 50s science-fiction TV series, is faced with a terrifying adversary of diabolic proportions. Building work on a London Underground extension unearths some unusual prehistoric remains and a strange rocket-like object that a bomb disposal expert deduces to be an unknown Nazi weapon. But Quatermass has other ideas about its origins....
