Lesley Judd reports from the village of Oberammergau in the Bavarian Alps, and sees how the 800-strong cast, including 50 children, two sheep and a donkey, are getting ready for this year's Passion Play.
In the studio she introduces scenes from the story - how Jesus Christ came to Jerusalem, was betrayed by one of his friends, suffered death on Good Friday, and then rose from the dead on the first Easter Day.

from Shankill Road, Belfast
Side by side in west Belfast stand the warring Loyalist and Republican factions of Shankill and the Falls. But there is another side to the much reported degradation of the ghettoes. On a local housing estate, once the dumping ground for the victims of sectarian murder gangs, The Rev Walter Lewis has led the struggle of a community to regain its self-respect. Seamus McKee talks to him and others along the notorious Peace Line about their reconciling work, and hundreds from both communities come together in Shankill Parish Church to sing the songs of Easter.
Jesus Christ is risen today (Easter Hymn); Jubilate Deo; Thine be the glory (Maccabaeus); Our God reigns; When I survey the wondrous cross (Rockingham); Make me a channel of your peace: Lord, enthroned in heavenly splendour (Helmsley); The head that once was crowned (St Magnus)

The feature film starring Ben Cross, Ian Charleson, Nigel Havers, Ian Holm, John Gielgud, Nigel Davenport, Patrick Magee, Alice Krige
Winner of four Oscars, one of the most celebrated British films of recent years is the true story of two indomitable men, Eric Liddell son of a Scottish missionary, and Harold Abrahams, son of a naturalised Lithuanian Jew, who brought honour to Britain as athletic champions in the 1924 Olympics. But their battles on the running track were merely the climax of fiercer conflicts in their lives: Liddell striving for the integrity of his religious beliefs, Abrahams fighting against the polite anti-Semitism of college and society...

When Moura Lympany , the British pianist, fell ill ten years ago, her long and celebrated career seemed in jeopardy. Instead, her sickness led to a new home - and the start of Europe's unlikeliest festival.
Larry Adler , Elizabeth Harwood and the Manchester Camerata were among those who gave their services free at the 1983 Festival of Music and Wine at Rasigueres in the south of France. They performed on a stage built on wine cases and surrounded by thousands of gallons of prize-winning 'rouge' ...
