A feature film starring the popular Lancashire lad, George Formby also starring Googie Withers.
'I'm not as daft as I look', says George Gullip. George is a newspaper compositor, and also an amateur sleuth, so when the police are baffled by a gang of counter-feiters he devises an ingenious plan to trap the crooks...
Formby is in excellent form as the love-sick hero, and finds time to sing several songs - including 'Fanlight Fanny' - on the way to a hectic finale in a brewery.
