A documentary in three parts from the book by William Shirer

The Twilight of the Gods - the evil gods of National Socialism. Encouraged by his virtual walk-over in the West, Hitler invaded Russia. At home, and in the countries he had seized, he put into action his 'final solution' for the Jews and other 'subhumans.' But Russia swallowed his armies as it had swallowed Napoleon's; the Americans entered the war; Stalingrad and Alamein marked the turning point, D-day and the officers' plot, the remorseless squeeze from East and West, and finally a charred corpse in a blazing Berlin. After that, the reckoning-the Nuremberg trials.

Products - ideas - techniques
The export drive: spotlight on the men, the methods, the markets that are earning Britain's living abroad.

For nearly a decade Britain's road hauliers have been able to carry our exports across the continent without repeated customs inspections at borders en route. The system, T.I.R. - Transports Internationales Routiers - is being used by an increasing number of freight carriers, often with British-made trailers -
themselves a valued export commodity.
