The voyages of the Star-Ship Enterprise across man's final frontier-space! Its mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and civilisations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.

When an unknown planet looms into the path of the USS Enterprise it is hardly the time for the helmsman to disappear, and for his successor at the controls to follow suit is somewhat more than inconvenient, especially as he happens to be the Captain!
The urbane anachronistic figure which has uncannily contrived their discomfiture leads Kirk and his crew a merry dance until events take an uglier turn, culminating in a bizarre conclusion.

The films of three great screen actors - Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy, and, here Tyrone Power
with Dorothy Lamour, Edward Arnold Lloyd Nolan

Tyrone Power's role tonight puts him - at least temporarily - on the wrong side of the law. As Bob Cain, he finds his life in ruins when the father he idolised is gaoled for embezzlement.
At the trial a gangster, Mickey Dwyer - played by Lloyd Nolan - escapes with a 2-year sentence: Bob's father gets 10. Drawing the obvious conclusion it is not long before Bob Cain, college man and banker's son, has become Johnny Apollo - mobster!
