On the occasion of their wedding, World Weddings explores the battleground between conservatives and liberals on the subject of gay marriages. With no official recognition of same-sex unions, the couple arrange an unofficial ceremony, sanctioned by a gay-friendly church. But despite a post-apartheid constitution that bans discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, homophobia still haunts the new South Africa.
