Second of two programmes following famous authors as they struggle to finish a new piece of work.
This programme follows Geoff Ryman as he writes his seventh novel, Lust, a fantasy tale about a gay man who can conjure up angels. With only six months to deliver the novel, and facing the demands of a full-time job as a senior civil servant, the tension begins to become evident, particularly as the book becomes more ambitious and oblique. To make matters even worse, the publishers ask that the end be rewritten.
