This year's London Marathon winner Liz McColgan goes for gold in the women's marathon, which starts at 12.05pm.
McColgan, a former world champion at 10,000m, will be hoping to continue her marked improvement at the classic long distance following her return from injury. She can expect stiff competition, in particular from last year's London Marathon winner Marigorzata Sobanska of Poland. Commentary by David Coleman and Brendan Foster.

Live coverage from Lord's of the fourth day's play in the First Test match between England and Pakistan. England will be hoping for victory to put them in charge of the three-match series. Last time these countries met at Lord's, in 1992, the Sunday of the Test produced one of the most eventful day's cricket of recent years with 17 wickets falling as Pakistan scrambled to a two-wicket victory. Jacques Villeneuve won the last Grand Prix, the British, after a mechanical fault stopped Damon Hill from finishing. Championship leader Hill, whose sights are firmly set on his first world title, is now only 15 points ahead of his team-mate.
