In 1989 Michael Moore made Roger and Me, a low-budget satirical account of his attempts to track down the chairman of General
Motors to confront him over job losses in his home town of Flint in Michigan. The film made him a minor celebrity.
Now Moore goes global with this six-part magazine series - also to be shown by NBC in America - which he describes as having "a subversive edge - and a sense of humour". In it he casts an irreverent eye over contemporary affairs, including going to Russia to buy the missiles that were once pointed at his home town!
In this first programme he meets with Serbian and Croatian diplomats over a pizza to settle "this whole war thing". Producers Michael Moore : Kathleen Glynn Executive producer Jeremy Gibson
