A recording of this morning's military spectacle in London, at which Her Majesty the Queen took the salute when the Colour of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards was trooped to mark the occasion of her official birthday.

Entries for the three categories in the BBC Design Awards have been scrutinised by three panels of judges, each led by a world renowned expert in the field - architect Norman Foster , designer and retailer Sir Terence Conran and advertising executive John Hegarty - reducing the original entries down to a shortlist of five in each category - environment, products and graphics. Exhibitions open to the general public can be seen in London, Birmingham, York,

On Saturday Night Clyde this week: the 'Big Noise' of Glasgow's
International Children's Festival gives a chance to rediscover childish things, with a multi-media extravaganza for kids of all ages, including the 'Art Machine', a unique exhibition at the McLellan Gallery, featuring the largest ever gathering of art and design made specifically for children.
Plus Scottish poet-in-exile, Kenneth White , until recently a poet without honour in his own country, now undergoing a period of critical re-appraisal in his own land. There'll be image and imagination from Britain's leading TV graphics school, Duncan of Jordanston in Dundee, and an interview with Matt Forrest , one of its brightest graduates. Plus a film essay on the contradictions of Glasgow, the City of Culture, past and present, and a visit to Europe's largest reference library, the beautiful Mitchell Library in Glasgow.

The last time this championship was held at Medinah, the leader after 36 holes was Tom Watson with Ben Crenshaw one shot behind.
