Presentation
The world's fastest rock show which has launched no fewer than 22 new hosts in three years, visits the nerve centre of presentation in London's Television Centre, domain of polished professionals who transport you from one programme to the next with effortless ease. Tonight these dulcet-toned doyens of the art surrender their continuity suites to Jenny Powell and Tony Baker , the teenage sensations who've done tor TV presentation what
Torville and Dean did for cricket. It's all just an excuse to replay some of the highlights from the series: exotic locations, lunatic links, videos and, of course, the latest word on the UK and US charts. JONATHAN KING

It's the safest road in the world - what makes it dangerous are the people on it. Twenty-eight years ago today, Britain's first stretch of the Ml motorway was opened. Since then cars have improved in efficiency, safety and speed. Last year 248 people were killed on motorways - a mere five per cent road deaths, but five per cent that could have been prevented if drivers took more care. Roisin McAuley has spent an ordinary week with the West Midlands
Motorway Police observing the extraordinary errors that cause 70 per cent of all road accidents in Britain.

Alaska - the Last Frontier In the first of a brand new series, Jonathan King visits Anchorage, the most remote city of America, further from New York than London is. A surprising city, not just
Eskimos and igloos, in fact no igloos at all, but a place of change. The oil pipeline created huge profits and every man, woman and child still receives$700 per year share-out, but times aren't as good as they were. JK visits a spectacular glacier, meets a would-be mayor called 'Mafia Mike' and tries on a few fur fashions for his winter wardrobe.

The Wonders of Ellora (John Seely 1788-1824)
Presented by David Drew
/ rushed into the wonders of these immortal works; but it is totally impossible to describe the feelings of awe excited in the mind upon first beholding these stupendous excavations. John Seely , a young army officer travelled across western India in 1810 to visit the rock-cut temples of Ellora. The 300-mile trek on horseback from Bombay was often dangerous - wild animals, cholera, disabling heat and bandit tribes all posed a threat - but what he found more than made up for the rigours of his journey.
David Drew follows in Seely's footsteps to rediscover
Ellora's remarkable range of 34 cave temples hacked out of a mountainside - one of the most spectacular ancient sites in the East. Roger Rees as the voice of John Seely Photography JOHN ELSE
