Clips from feature films and cliff-hanger serials illustrate the antecedents to such daring stunts in Raiders as the death-defying truck chase, the hair-breadth escape from the colossal speeding boulder and the spine-chilling recovery of the Ark with our intrepid heroes caught between Nazi agents above and snakes below ...

where the public sets the agenda The State We're In
The reality of the blacklist in Britain is that thousands of ordinary men and women are being denied the right to work because of their political views. The image the press gives is that blacklisting is legitimate; that same press condemns the Soviet Union for denying the right to work to people like Sakharov because he's a dissident. Yet that is what is happening in Britain today.

A series of films portraying issues, institutions and individuals. Health Farm
The wealthy Hendon housewife who has to lose weight so that she can have her eyes lifted; an ex-WRAF officer in a last-ditch bid to shed six pounds so that she can squeeze into her wedding dress; a professional gambler, too heavy for the scales, who has to be taken to the weighbridge of the local quarry for his weigh-in-these are three of the inmates of Henlow Grange with everything to lose and nothing to gain. After a week of hot wax baths, the high pressure hydro, and the infamous G5 (known in the trade as the 'Black and Decker') — the trio, along with 30 others booked in for the week, can assess whether the creation of a new slim svelte self was worth all that had to be endured down on the farm.
