The last of eight programmes Christmas
Nothing brings the true meaning of prison into sharper focus than Christmas; not just a time of merriment and good cheer, but a time when families and friends gather together.
The isolation of the men inside seems all the more poignant as the authorities do their best to introduce a festive atmosphere.
It is a time when, traditionally, human beings pause and take stock of their situation. And a time, perhaps, for everyone to take stock of what life in prison may be doing to our fellow men.
Film cameraman DEREK BANKS Producer REX BLOOMSTEIN

starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellen Bing Crosby made the title song of this most famous of Christmas movies particularly his own.
Crosby and Danny Kaye play two army buddies who team up in a song-and-dance-act after the war. Soon there is romance in the air with the glamorous Haynes sisters.
