John Romer , a self-confessed ' loony ' under the spell of Egypt's mysterious past, was filmed for two years as his ill-assorted team searched for the treasure of ancient kings and possible glory.
But in the heat of the desert, passions flare. In this intimate portrait all is revealed about the pressures of expedition life, about an off-beat man, about Romer's Egypt.
