I am a Dancer
A film profile of one of the world's greatest dancers
Rudolf Nureyev
From ballet class to rehearsal to final performance, the film reveals the effort and the strain behind the triumph. Nureyev is shown as pupil and teacher, as a classical and modern dancer. An informal side of him is glimpsed as he prepares in his dressing-room for his next performance.
The centrepiece of the film is the complete performance of Marguerite and Armand created by SIR FREDERICK ASHTON for Nureyev and Margot Fonteyn. The film includes extracts from La Sylphide with Carla Fracci , Field Figures with Deanne Bergsma , and the final pas de deux from Sleeping Beauty with Lynn Seymour.

Full of Natural Goodness Presented by Eric Robson Britain's epidemic of heart disease has become the worst in the world -one man in three will die from it. And yet for years, doctors have been suggesting ways to reduce figures.
In 20 major industrial countries, including Britain, official medical committees have drawn a link between eating animal fats, and having heart attacks. Here, in Britain, the Department of Health has recommended that we eat less of these fats, but the Ministry of Agriculture doesn't appear to pay even lip-service to this advice. Our farmers are still encouraged to produce fat-laden meat, our meat processors still make pies and sausages containing 35% fat, and our dairy industry still tells us that butter is beneficial and that milk is ' full of natural goodness '.
