The 1978 US Open was played one mile above sea level over Cherry Hills Course, Denver, Colorado. This film of the Championship begins with Arnold Palmer recalling 1960 when, over this course, he gave birth to the legend of the ' Palmer Charge '. It progresses through to the excitement of this event, spotlighting the action of NICKLAUS, HAYES, SNEAD, STOCKTON, CLAMPETT, PLAYER and others. It concludes with the drama of the final hole, where ANDY NORTH needs a bogey to win and the Championship rests on a knife-edge. Commentator PETER ALLISS

Transcendental Meditation - or TM - has come a long way from its association with The Beatles. Not only has the movement established its own universities, there is now a World Government for the Age of Enlightenment. Some of the effects claimed for the Maharishi's TM technique include industrial peace, world harmony and the end of all wars.
Brass Tacks reports on film about one practical experiment at a Devon printing firm which decided to find out if the ' effect' would work for them and their profits. In the studio, leaders of the TM movement in this country defend their claims.
