Another Little Drink
Last of a series of film reports by Trevor Philpott
3: ... won't do us any harm
Alcoholism is increasing, and tragically, is increasing most rapidly amongst the very young. The proportion of women alcoholics has trebled over the past ten years. It is a sickness from which no one can ever declare himself safe and for which there is no medical cure. And to the alcoholic, getting liquor and drinking it is all that matters- in life. Mothers will sell the furniture or raid the baby's piggybank, derelicts will beg in the streets or raid liquor stores.
This film explores the alcoholics' world and the struggles of some of the sufferers to find a way out of it.

Clans of Hunters
Lions, hyenas, wild dogs and badgers - as carnivores, they have one thing in common: they all live in groups. Why? This is the puzzle that Dr Hans Kruuk set out to solve - a puzzle that led him to 18 years of living with these hunters. In Africa the only way these carnivores can kill large prey is by co-operating. To hunt as a team they have evolved a clan existence. But in Britain the badger also lives in groups - so why doesn't it behave like a hyena? Why don't badgers hunt cows?
