The World of Margaret Mead
At the age of 74, Margaret Mead is perhaps the most influential social scientist in America. She is a member of 70 committees and she still spends much of her time jetting round the world on a personal mission to communicate her ideas.
In tonight's Horizon we follow her on a typical week's 5,000-mile journey round the US, and fellow anthropologist Dr Adam Kuper talks to her about the work which has helped change our attitudes to so many aspects of human behaviour.

The Songs of Sonny Condell and Leo O'Kelly ' The Irish'
Time has no power No not here
The hour is not master Slips unseen here
The young leave the countryside for Dublin, then leave the city for foreign lands - often England, sometimes America. But Ireland awaits the return of her prodigals -sometimes prosperous.
