The World of Margaret Mead
At the age of 74, Margaret Mead is perhaps the most influential social scientist in America. She is a member of 70 committees and she still spends much of her time jetting round the world on a personal mission to communicate her ideas.
In tonight's Horizon we follow her on a typical week's 5,000-mile journey round the US, and fellow anthropologist Dr Adam Kuper talks to her about the work which has helped change our attitudes to so many aspects of human behaviour.
