Another chance to see the first of six Chronicle programmes about the application of scientific research to the problems of solving the secrets of prehistory.
1: Was This the Garden of Eden? Geoffrey Bibby is an archaeologist who has unlocked the secrets of thousands of years ago from a barren stretch of scrub on the island of Bahrein.
For more than 20 years, he and a team of Danish archaeologists have been excavating on the island. Some of their findings have led to an extraordinary story, told by Magnus Magnusson. With clues 5,000 years old he follows a trail which takes him through deserted temples, buried cities, warrior gods, freshwater springs on the seabed, skeletons of snakes and the hundred thousand burial mounds of Bahrein.
