In the remote highlands of Nepal live the Sherpas, famous for their work on mountaineering expeditions. Their homes are in tiny villages perched on the slopes of the world's highest mountains, and the Sherpa's life is hard, often short, but rarely dull. Tourists can now walk to the foot of Mount Everest, but few will see, as in this film, a Sherpa community working and celebrating, or be able to attend a great Buddhist festival originating centuries ago.
