Ten programmes on career opportunities for young adults
with Paddy Feeny and Percy Walton, Secretary, Institute of Youth Employment Officers

Perhaps wanting to work out-of-doors is a natural reaction against the constriction of school life. In this programme three young horticulturists and two young men in the building industry tell us why they chose an outdoor job. Their careers and prospects are contrasted with the career pattern of somebody who has deliberately chosen an indoor job.

The unscrupulous operator of the only freight line through Tucson uses the Apaches as an excuse to double the price of the goods he delivers. John has difficulty in convincing the merchants that another operator could keep prices down and, to do so, risks his life by direct contact with Cochise, the Apache chief.

If my child has swallowed poisonous tablets, should I ring the doctor or dial 999?
Should I make him sick if he's drunk a corrosive poison?
If it's too late to prevent chronic bronchitis, what can I do to relieve it?
Tonight the Consultant Physician deals with these and other questions sent in by viewers about items in previous programmes.

A remarkable story of Britain's smallest professional theatre
For two people as dedicated to the theatre as Barrie and Marianne Hesketh, the decision they took five years ago to go and live on the Isle of Mull might have seemed calculated to end their theatrical careers for good... Instead, in the thirty-four-seat converted cow-shed they call Mull Little Theatre they have found a new artist-freedom and have played Chekhov, Shaw, Strindberg, Ibsen, and Shakespeare to audiences totalling over two thousand by the end of last summer.
This film is the story of their enterprise and how they have adapted to their new surroundings.
