BBC Philharmonic Sandy Burnett presents the last of five programmes marking the 50th anniversary of the death of Arnold Bax. Today, Bax's final symphony is heard alongside works by Ravel and Stravinsky. Between 1911 and the outbreak of the First World War, Bax attended all six London seasons of Diaghilev's Ballets Russes, maintaining penchant for Russian music throughout his life.
