Handel in Salzburg
Lucie Skeaping presents a concert from
Salzburg by Canadian ensemble Les Violons du Roy. Including Bach's Orchestral Suite No 1 in C, BWV1066, arias from Handel's Saul and Giulio Cesare sung by American countertenor David Daniels , and a Handel Concerto Grosso. And Catherine Bott takes a light-hearted look at Handel's singers.

Ute Lemper: But One Day
German chanteuse Ute Lemper sings songs from her latest album, mixing her own songs with music by Kurt Weill , Hans Eisler and Jacques Brel , and arrangements of tangos by Piazzolla. Recorded earlier this year at the Royal
Festival Hall with conductor and arranger Robert Ziegler and the Matrix Ensemble. Presented by Stephanie Hughes.

Simon Russell Beale concludes his commemoration of the 30th anniversary ofWH Auden's death with a selection of poems written after his move to America in 1939. Music includes collaborations with Britten, who was also there during the war, and settings of Auden's poetry by Henze and Bernstein.
