Richard Coles explores the life and writing of Isaac Rosenberg. Brought up in London's East End he published his first collection of poems at his own expense but was noticed by Ezra Pound , among others. He defied his pacifist family to fight in the First World War, writing with forceful realism about the war before being killed. Neglected in his own lifetime, has Rosenberg's work yet received the attention it deserves?
