Robert Harbison , the American-born professor of arch itecture and i nterior design at the University of North London. He has published several books on style and architecture, including Eccentric Spaces, The Built, the Unbuilt and the Unbuildable, and most recently, Reflections on Baroque. His musical choices include some inspiring examples of musical Baroque by Handel and Stradella, as well as operas by Mozart and Bellini, a Chopin nocturne and a 1950s song from the Platters.

It is 1982. Growing up in Gibraltar, teenagers Doink, Darren and Jock find enough to fight about. But the escalation of the Falklands conflict in the South Atlantic throws their friendship and their allegiances into confusion.
Radiohead Special. Robert Sandall and Mark Russell are joined by Jonny and Colin Greenwood of Radiohead to discuss their album Kid A. Infused with abstract electronic textures and free-jazz brass, this was one of the most talked-about records of 2000. They also introduce some of their favourite tracks of the moment, including

Paul Motian Trio 2000. Drums titan
Paul Motian brought his latest groupto London's Queen Elizabeth Hall forthe London Jazz Festival last November and tonight's concert was the result. With bassist Scott LaFaro , Motian redefined the role of the rhythm section injazz while he was a member of the Bill Evans piano trio of the late fifties and early sixties. His efforts to make the drums an equal voice - interacting with the melody ratherthan just providing accompaniment -were later appreciated by band leaders Keith Jarrett , Carla Bley and Don Cherry. Motian has led his own groups since the late seventies, with the help of such artists as Bill Frisell and Joe Lovano. His trio tonight features saxophonist Chris Potter and another
